We are looking for a kind and friendly au pair. Our house is very close to the University of Limerick and is a short drive to Limerick city. The au pair would have her own ensuite bedroom upstairs and her own sitting room with tv downstairs and every Saturday and Sunday off, unless under exceptional circumstances. We do a weekly food shop and the au pair would be welcome to have meals from this supply.
Our parents are 78 and 86. Both are friendly, though Dad is hard of hearing and can get confused. Both are independently mobile (with walking stick) and active. Their bedroom and bathroom is downstairs. They have carers coming in and out during the day, Monday to Friday. There would be no requirement for the au pair to help with washing or dressing but some light cleaning will be required.
The main reason for seeking an au pair is to have someone there by night. Occasionally one of them can fall getting out of bed and it's just to have someone there who can bring over a chair so they can get up again. It is very rare that this happens. Dad also tends to rise quite early.
