We are an easy going, happy family in need of childcare. I am currently on
maternity leave and will be returning in April, possibly sooner. I would ideally like
for you to start in January and spend a few months getting used to baby
Constance and life here before I return to work. I work 4 days per
Our baby, Constance will be 8 months in January. My elder daughter Catherine will
be 11 in February and is a happy, self contained and extremely independent girl.
We live in Dunsany castle, it is part of a nature reserve. It's a beautiful area, full of forests and meadows, there are lots of places to walk and explore!
We are only a 30 minute drive to
Dublin airport and 40 minutes to the city centre. There is a bus stop at the top of
our road, the bus runs regularly and takes you directly to Dublin city centre. Our
local town, Dunshaughlin, is a 5 minute drive from where we live and this is where we
do our grocery shop and avail of various amenities.
Whilst I am on maternity leave I would expect you to shadow me with baby Constance
and allow Constance to get used to you. It will also give you time to feel at home
and used to life at Dunsany. Once you get used to Constance I would expect you
to mind her for a few hours each day. When I return to work I would expect you to
mind Constance 4 days a week (9-5) and pick up Catherine from school( this is a 2
minute drive) and make her a meal.
Your living quarters will consist of a bedroom with en suite including shower and
bath. You will also have your own kitchen which is small but has everything
including dishwasher, oven, cooker, fridge and a small seating area. You are also
welcome to use the main kitchen and join us for meals. We eat a lot of vegetarian
cuisine and try to eat healthy as best we can. A drivers license is essential and you can have use of a car on your days off, within reason. We have cleaners who come 3 days a week so won't need you to do any housework. We have a home gym that you are also welcome to use.
We hope that you will be happy here with us. I think that this placement would suit
somebody who has experience minding a baby and also who is used to the
countryside and enjoys nature and animals.
