Au pair wanted in Lucan Dublin
We are looking for an au pair to look after our 4.5 year old son at home and to take him out and about to parks, playgrounds, swimming etc.
We are looking for someone that is open minded above all and a good communicator. We want someone that will sit down with us and discuss any issues so that we can resolve them together. I believe that children are fundamentally 'good' and I know that if Sams behaviour is off it is because there is some need not being met e.g. not getting enough time playing with other children, time outside, being tired or hungry. We will work with you to get to the bottom of anything like this but in the main previous au pairs have had a very good relationship with Sam and day to day life runs smoothly. If you subscribe more to the authoritarian style of believing children need to be 'trained' to be good and should be punished if not - please do not apply.
We both work from home a few days a week so would be in the house when you are sometimes.
Good food is very important to us - we cook meals from scratch and eat very little processed foods. We mainly buy organic vegetables. We would like you to help with cooking lunches but don't worry as we have recipes for everything and would show you exactly how to do it.
We have had several previous au pairs over the years. In general they have had very easy going relationships with Sam and go out and about a lot. You have complete freedom to go where you wish in Dublin during the day. We can give suggestions of different playgrounds, library events, meetups etc also.
We would expect you to do light housework and keep the house clean and tidy. You would have evenings and weekends completely free except for occasional babysitting which we would arrange in advance so as not to interfere with your plans.
We have also recently extended and refurbished our house so it is warmer, cosier and more spacious than before.
We've had au pairs before, you can talk to them!
